Great start to the day , I had to go over to the local electric co. because they sent me a late charge and a two month bill. I had payed them but they lost the check. Got the late charge waved and the bill payed after some wrangling . Got home to find water shooting up in the front yard ,,AGAIN. You guys may recall this just happened a month or so ago. Well they came dig it up and want to watch it until Friday to see if they stopped the leak so I have a big gapping mud hole in the front yard. We finally have an appointment for my wife in Houston and the GPS just quit in the car so I have to try to get that fixed before next week . I swear, I must have stepped on the devils tail or something. Hope Old Nick gets it all out of his system before next week and we have a successful trip to get her in treatment and back in remission from cancer . I'm about to go nuts here. Ohhh, sorry ,I forgot, I think I'm already nuts . How can I tell now ?

Well, Randy, if they expect to see if its leaking by the hole drying up , the constant rain all last night and looks like all today may put a damper on their inspection technique . Unless one of them brings his snorkel , their not going to see anything but muddy water. At least the geyser effect has stopped but I had to run water a lot last night because it was coming into the house as brown as the water in the hole outside. Looks like they would have flushed the water line when they finished, geee, isn't that a valve and a big yellow water house on the front of my house. Dauhhhhh. It's not brain surgery,,,,if you unhook a pipe in a hole full of dirty water, its going to run into the pipe . There goes all my water filters on the sink and ice maker .

It has been my experience that Snipers have excellent land navigation skills. A map is a wonderful thing to have in case you need back up.

Another thing to think about:

Water company takes care of all leaks up to and including the meters. All past that is customers .If the leak is on my side of the meter , I pay for lost water, but in this case it may be the meter itself and they will adjust the bill . Ether way , we pay for water and I still have a mud hole in the yard and its been raining so I may take a swim . I did not try to turn the water off while it was leaking this time sence I got a good bath and shower last time, I figure thats enough washing for two months. And no, its not a stupid question, I thought you guys just melted ice to drink up there .
MMMNAVY, I dont have a topographical map of Houston . How am I suppose to know where the LZ or the DMZ is located ?

A muddy pool doesn't seem very useful. Why not get them to unplug it again? Advertise it as the East Coast rival of Old Faithful and charge admission. Unique tourist attraction! Scenic guided tours! You know the saying—when life gives you lemons . . .

Sniper, I was just wondering on another one of your recent problems. Did you guys ever see any of the oil from the BP explosion hit your area? You may have posted about it, but I was missing there for a bit. Still praying hard for you and Cami daily. Much love to you!

Yes Nanners we got oil south of us that closed the fishing grounds and there is still questions about the dispursent used and how it effects fish. I do know there are sharks are being caugh in fish nets up in grand lake. Miles north of where they usually go. We think they are following the food that left the oily areas to get away. I dont think I'll be eating any fish caught here for a while. As for clean up, there is no way I know of to clean the marsh and we will lose lots of land as it dies and washes away. Makes me sick, but I guess it OK because that rich SOB from BP now has his life back. Poor fellow, must be tough to miss the yacht races.
