Friday's TLC for me is SUN!! The rain has finally moved out and I should be able to sit by the pool and get some sun on my legs (just a little).

I was supposed to watch a friend's baby today while she went and got her room ready for classes, but she had family come in town and they're doing it (BOO...I would have gotten paid :( )

I finally made it to the library today and picked up 3 books that were on my list!

Yesterday I finally got the back yard mowed also!

Woohoo, Monkiray; enjoy that sun. I hope the library books are great too. What were they, if you don't mind my asking?

It's 5pm, so here's my progress:

* go to appointment - yes
* visit seals - yes. Well, I tried. They were still out at sea, I think. I walked by the waterfront instead, and enjoyed the view and the salty wind
* exercise - yes, if you count an amble by the sea-side. I'll try to do a bit more. Maybe.
* window shop - no. Did real shopping, instead, and bought groceries to tide me over for the next few days.

Next up:

* curl up in pjs
* eat light dinner
* marinate meat for tomorrow. Bonus if I chop up some veg too
* do dishes
* feed cats
* soak laundry?
* talk to family

Congrats on the lawn, Monkiray.

Hi Chocholic,

Good idea, calling the benefits office. Sorry the joints are hurting. Is that Crohn's, or something else?

I hope your day ends up being a happy and comfortable one.

* finish all dishes - done
* tidy kitchen - done
* wipe down griller thingie - done
* a bit more exercise - done
* stretch - done
* talk to family - done

Marinate meat - no. I'll do it in the morning.

I've been sitting outside looking at the stars, and now I'm going to bed, and hope to do some spirituality stuff before I sleep.

'night. And have a lovely day, Chocholic (and Inflamed and Monkiray and others, if you see this)

I have been making myself get up and dressed each day and try to walk for awhile to build back up my strength. My goal today is to do the same. My goal is to be out of the house for at least 2 hours. Not sure where we will walk today, maybe a stroll by the beach will be in order today. I plan to continue my usual and try to take my shower in the evening. I seem to do better taking it at night, as I have not been feeling as well in the mornings. I might try to hit a few stores and see if I can find some new work blouses, if I am feeling adventerous. I have been feeling like cooking lately, so I might try to hit the grocery and get the veggies needed to make some homemade chicken soup, that should agree well with me. Let's see how I do.

Thanks Ivy. Sitting out looking at the stars sounds like a nice way to wind down. Still out of town visiting the hospital. My goal for the rest of the trip is to stay hydrated and find safe food. The last part is proving a challenge. He should be hone tomorrow, so I hope to head home Sunday and get back to my normal routine.

Gail -- how did the walking go? Did you hit the stores?

Choc -- we have the same goal on eating. How'd it go for you? I'm just barely eating enough.

Becky -- how are the books so far? I really need to pick up a good novel. Just finished Julie and Julia.

Well...for the nth time, my sun time was overrun by rain! ARGH!!! Maybe another day. At least the grass and the bushes I transplanted a few weeks ago are getting much needed rain!

Haven't gotten into any of the books yet. I have a Kindle and have a book I'm reading on it that I got for free. I've got to stop buying books for the Kindle though, since I'm not working, so I'm back to the library. The books I got there are The Choice (Nicholas Sparks), Nantucket Nights (Elin Hilderbrand) and A Change In Altitude (Anita Shreve). I'm sure all 2 of them will be great!

I've had a really lazy Friday...because I have PMS and just doing nothing but eating...hehehe, but I don't have anything I really needed to do today.

Tomorrow I need to be more productive. My GI harassed me yesterday about gaining weight and said I had no excuse (though I think 13 days of hospitalization and 3 1/2 weeks of pred at the end of last year, which was when I gained weight IS an excuse). I need to start looking into gyms because I can't do much outside without getting a headache from the heat. My sister may join with me, which would be really great and would provide the motivation I need...don't know though, since she tore 3 ligaments in her ankle a little over a week ago. If she continues to progress as she has so far, it shouldn't be long before she can go with me. She's a tough girl, and super stubborn, so she says she can go work out with me very soon....we'll see...
