Anyone else out there take Flagyl and felt like death for days? I started on Monday and have been wicked sick since then. I have NO appetite and food repulses me right now...I can't even smell it without getting sick to my stomach. Been running to the bathroom like 10 times a day, which I've never even had with the Crohn's. I took a dramamine yesterday and it helped a lot, but it's worn off and I'm back to feeling awful.

Anyone else ever get like this, or am I just special?

On the bright side, my Crohn's has been feeling pretty good since. Ugggggh....
Diagnosed 2002 at 18. Remission for about 7 years. Getting back into the swing of things at 26.

Attempting SCD...fingers crossed!

Yes. Flagyl is evil.

You might be able to cope better on a lower dose - maybe ring your doctor and see.

Flagyl gave me horrible D, and that was back when I was constipated all the time. The hospital couldn't understand why all the IVs they were pumping into me wasn't making me pee at all. Well, there wasn't anything left with all that D!

When I was rehospitalized after my July 6 kidney surgery, they had found I had an infection. They gave me Cipro and Flagyl via IV. Up to that point my nausea and vomiting had started to improve, but as soon as they put me on those antibiotics I was right back to square one puking my guts out with horrible diarrhea. After 1 1/2 days of it, they stopped them as it made me so much worse. I had told them I can't take those meds in pill form what makes you think I could do any better on IV. It was awful, so sorry you are suffering so. Hugs!
