Well, I think my Humira may not be working. The past 2 weeks have been an experience. I had a dull ache in my right abdomen that lasted 3 days, followed by more BM's that were loose. A week later I had cramping in my right side that woke me up. I went to the bathroom and it was gone. More and more bathroom urgencies and most are loose or "D". I went 5 times today and I normally only go twice a day and there formed. I'm worried and I hope there is another drug for me to take. Would remicade work if Humira has failed??? I have an appt. to see my GI in 2 weeks, I know I have to wait 2 weeks. I don't know what I should be doing at this point as in dietary intake.
Any help would be appreciated!
I really hope the Humira is still working. I'm due to have a scope  at the end of this year.
Trying to stay positive, but not knowing if there is any other med for me has got me worried!!

Thanks!!

I'm so sorry, Wolfie.

Please try not to despair yet. I've had times where I was absolutely convinced that the Humira had stopped working, only to be scoped and told that everything was fine. I've had other times where I'd thought that the Crohn's was back, only to discover that I'd developed an infection or a food sensitivity.

What I'm trying to say is don't give up hope yet... but at the same time, I'm glad you get to talk to your gastro doc soon, and we'll be here to support you, whatever happens.

Ivy.

There are always options. Yes, many people take Remicade after Humira has failed. There is also Cimzia. Take care!

Hopefully this is just a temporary setback and another drug will not be necessary.
Wishing you the best.

I am with Ivy, don't give up hope yet. Formed stools say alot to me. I will have an increase in stools sometimes, because I ate something I thought was safe, and for whatever reason decided this time it wasn't going to agree with me. I think its just a temporary blip, but if it continues, do call your doc. Good luck!

I agree with everyone that has posted, don't give up on it just yet.

I have been having my doubts about Humira too.

Consider raising the dose. I have been using it every week, and even at that dose, nothing changed for a couple months. Then out of nowhere, it just started working for me again. I started using it last year, in August.

I have even managed to get myself completely off of prednisone, and that is a dream come true for me. :)

Take Care

Thanks all! We Crohnies know our bodies and especially when something doesn't feel right. I'm feeling that right now not knowing what is going on and fearing the worst.
I got this letter from my GI office and they want me to go and have blood work ASAP and it will be discussed at my Appt.
I have been eating pretty light and low residue to try and quiet down my intestines, I'll continue until my appt.
Thanks for your support and reassuring. I'll keep you posted.
