* put away mending basket and supplies, as it's the weekend and I deserve to do a funner form of needlework - yes
* read local paper to see what's on - done
* go to supermarket and buy basics before I run out completely - yes. Nearly cried with exhaustion afterwards :-(
* go back to bed whenever I feel tired - yes. Spent most of the day there.

That's it for me. Chattier communication another time.

Sending tlcish hugs to all our tlcers. Choc, good luck at the party; Nanners, I hope you are starting to feel better; Inflamed, stay strong there. I hope the negative commentators will leave soon.

Choc, we must be posting at the same time. Huge hugs to you. If you're lucky, there might be a quiet place where you can go to rest & collect your thoughts if it all gets too overwhelming.

Best of luck. At least it'll be over after tonight :-/.

I'm getting more and more worked up over the party, its not like its round the corner either. its an hour away by car.

Choc I bet that if you go to the party you will end up having a good time. Try not to worry so about the what if's happening and just try to think about having a good time. Hugs!

Ivy sorry you are having such a rough day (((hugs)))....

My goal for today is to do a little walk by the beach. We did that the other day, and the sun felt really good. I want to try to be a little gentler on myself. I seem to have been so stressed and worried about going back to work that I have not been able to REALLY be gentle to myself and allow myself to heal. So today I am going to be gentle to myself. Hugs to all!

So i'm now kicking myself. I got so worked up over going to the party, that i gave myself belly pain and started to feel really nausous. I am officially stupid. So instead of being at the party, i'm at home on my own. Typically i now am feeling alot better! i dont know, maybe i should ask to meet his step daughter in a small group, you kinow just me, mum her fella and his step daughter. That might be easier then a big setting like tonight would have been.

That's a good idea, Choc. A small group is really is a terrific idea. And it sends her a message that you want to meet her too, and aren't snubbing her.

You're right - babysteps. A small gathering close to home is much easier on the bod & emotions than a big party an hour away. And you probably wouldn't have to pack all those extra outfits for it either.

Huge (((hug))) to you, Chocholic. Hard, innit?

Nanners, I love the new tlcish attitude. I hope it helps you a lot. Sending you lots of warm and caring and healing thoughts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Choc sounds like the anxiety got the best of you. In those times, I use the lowest dose available of Xanax and it really helps me in those times. You might want to talk to your doc about something like that. Hugs!

Yes, Ivy I am always the strong one pushing thru things, and I need to be much kinder to myself. I do feel the longterm disability is only a few years away. I just don't have as much strength and fight in me anymore. I just have to get thru 3 more years or so, so I can I pay off my truck. Thats my new goal. Sad, huh?? Sometimes I wish I could win the lottery and just quit now, but like thats really gonna happen:) Hugs to you Ivy!
