I am still flaring after being on the steroids now for nearly 3 weeks, my dose has dropped now to 15mg a day, and I just recently had my B12 injection, which I went and had my annual blood tests done before, my inflammation markers are still quite high, but my B12 and folate blood tests also came back abnormal this time, and now have folic acid deficiency anaemia too, for which the doctor has now prescribed folic acid 5mg a day.
Is this quite common with a flare? I was putting my lack of energy and fatigue down to the flare but could it be because of the folic acid anaemia?
