I have no idea what is going on with me. I don't know if the crohn's is flaring badly causing partial obstruction or if I have a stricture causing partial obstruction. In either case, my partial obstruction symptoms have become daily again. Grrrrr!!!!!

How can I tell the difference between inflammation obstruction vs. stricture obstruction?

If it is an inflammatory stricture, it should respond quickly to either a short course of prednisone or short course of total enteral nutrition. If it does not respond to one or the other, then you probably have a stricture that has become fibrous and fixed due to long-term inflammation and it would need to be stretched open or surgically removed.

I am thinking of going the prednisone route. I wish there was another way though.
I have only ever done long term doses of prednisone.
