I ache today. A lot. And moving around is no fun. I think I'm going to make today a long-term project day:

Try do to some of these:

* read old FLYlady emails and ditch them, so I have a clearer inbox
* if my hands let me, answer some of the emails & letters I owe
* do whatever needlework / craft I can
* listen to cds and decide whether I want to keep them or not
* read some books """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
* start browsing for Christmas gifts online
* tlc for legs?

And try to do at least some of these basics:

* tidying
* some / all dishes
* a little bit of exercise / stretching / tai chi
* make bed, or straighten sheets
* tape / watch All Saints

If things improve:

* try to grab some groceries
* wash towels, rain notwithstanding?
* ironing?
* look at light globes
* put batteries in remote
* put up soap holder

Sorry not to be more communicative this week, everyone. Typing hurts.

NCOT, I'm so glad you're back.

I'm gonna make a little money tomorrow helping a friend. She was dog sitting after her parents dog got hurt while being watched by a neighbor...then the dog got sick all over her downstairs...so I'm going to go use her steam cleaner and clean up for her. Yay money!!

Sorry you're so achey again. Have you tried soaking in the tub a bit? I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

As you can tell by my post, I'm starting to get really scared at the thought of my insurance running out. I'm crossing my fingers that this job works out...I should know within a day or so what they decided. Otherwise, who knows, maybe I'll move to Canada, or get married for insurance...

NCOT, I'm so glad you're back.

Thank you :p

I might not be able to get online tomorrow morning, so I had better think of tomorrow's TLCs before I go to bed <_<. To be honest, I doubt I'll get anything practical done, what with my nephews being there, so I'm giving myself a waiver on practical things for a day.

TLCs:

*Order 6MP prescription at Dr's surgery if I get the opportunity - if not, must do Friday as I'm getting low
*Think of something fun or different to do with the nephews - no idea what yet! :-/

Ivy, I hope you get over your achiness soon. It does suck when every bit of you seems to ache and ready to drop off, although I've been better on that front lately. In the meantime, I'd better go to bed. Goodnight folks :p

I hope you are feeling more rested when you see this, Choc.

My progress so far: showered and dressed in respectable clothes, but didn't get to the shops. Managed to eat reasonably healthily.

Books decluttered so far: three.
CDs decluttered so far: two (am listening to another one now and think it might be the third to go).
Have been working on a Christmas decoration too, and have trashed a lot of flylady emails.
Have done some dishes, too, and have made my bed.

Becky, I wish I could give you decent solace, help or advice on your insurance situation :-(. It's great you can earn some money now, though.

* dishes - done one stack but still more to do
* polish in living room - done
* ring benefit office - done
* ring dermatology to make appt - done
* play with kittens - done but want to do way more! they are so cute!!!

I rang the benefit office today to see where my claim had gotten to. Last thursday it was still processing. Today, they have decided i am entitled to ESA. My entitlement letter should be out soon. Yippee!!
The guy i was talking to did say that all cases were taking much longer than they used to cos they are currently getting hundreds of new claims in each day. It would seem that everyone in britian is going off sick!!
So not too much longer for money to come in, thank god!!

Wishing everyone a happy and almost healthy day!

I am having a really poopy day today and no reason why. I usually suffer more c than d, and only have the d when I eat something wrong. But I haven't strayed from my diet, so not sure what happened. Anyways, I am being gentle with myself today and not doing much. I tend to feel better in the evening so I think I will plan on my shower then, shave the hairiest legs ever, then maybe watch a movie with my man. Easy day for me. Hope your pain eases Ivy. Hugs!

Catastophy struck last night...my washer stopped mid cycle. ARGH!!! Anyway, Dad was able to come over this evening and we got it working again. The switch when you put the lid down is broken, and he bypassed it....so for now, it's working. The wash sat in there for about 16 hours, and now it's finally in the dryer. Now I just have to order the part and we can put it in when it comes in. Luckily it's an easy fix. What would I do without Dad?

Haven't gotten much else done today. I slept in...way too late.

Going to eat then shower then probably watch a good movie.

Oh, and carpet cleaning for the friend has been moved to tomorrow! She was so stressed yesterday that she couldn't deal with figuring out how to get me in the house when she wasn't there. I feel so bad for her, with the 3 month old baby, and so much else going wrong this week for her :(

I'm sorry, Becky, but I did have a bit of a rueful giggle at your expense. This really isn't your week, isn't it? Maybe you should stay away from electrical appliances for a while... except for the computer, of course :-)

I really freaked out last night, Ivy. Today I was a little more realistic. I called Dad and he googled and called and said to test the little button that's pushed down when you close the lid. Luckily that was the problem, because it's easy to fix, and the part only costs $20.

Maybe it is a good thing I wasn't able to go to carpet clean...the cleaner would likely break if I touch it ;)

After showering, I'm going to work on making a list of authors I like so when I go to the library I can look for some books I haven't read.

Glad you got a little giggle out of my strange week! I'm going to stay away from using appliances for a while...except the dryer because those clothes really need to be dried (and the computer of course!).

I've also decided that I'll just move to Canada when my insurance runs out...I'll let you know how that goes. I know my family will miss me terribly, and I'll feel very alone, but I have to do what I have to do, right? That, or I'm going to marry for insurance...I've already told my ex that we may have to get married to keep me insured, and he laughed....will have to work on finding another eligible batchelor to marry I guess! I was thinking a military guy would be good since military insurance seems to cover a lot!

Didn't meet either of my two TLCs, oh well :-/

The 6MP I'll order tomorrow, no biggie. But as for thinking of anything fun or different to do with the nephews - not really. We drove into the nearest decent-sized town, went to CEX, and stocked up on a few second-hand PS2 games. My nephew wanted Call of Duty 3, which my mum (his grandmother) forbade, but luckily for him I was able to find and recommend another shooting game, Timesplitters. He turned his nose up at it at first, but ended up thinking was brilliant and playing it for ages.

So that was basically my crowning glory for the day; buying a £1.50 PS2 game that my nephew loved :-/

Hope you're okay, Ivy. I was looking for your Friday TLC but couldn't find it.

I'm in a foul and crabby mood this late morning anyway. Not because of anything anyone's done but because of lack of sleep and a bad stomach. (The bad stomach has settled down for now, but not the grottiness :-/)

No TLCs as such for Friday. Only to get through the day with my two nephews. I suppose I'd better go and brush my teeth and face another day... :-/
