I started a liquid diet today and have cut out dairy products to see if that helps. Question is, how long do you stick to it and what kind of foods do you eat?

btw, the last 2 days my bloody D has upped to 15-20 times a day, as well as very painful cramps 24/7. I'm switching dr's/location at the clinic I go to but they have to okay it first with them. (switching because my current GI is 45 min away, this one will only be 15 min) I'm hoping to have an appointment next week if they give the ok.

Whenever I have a flare pop up, I usually do 1 day on only Boost, then 2 days on milk, Boost, juices, broth, sherbert, any actual liquid I can handle, then I reintroduce really soft stuff like instant mashed potatoes (made watery), scrambled eggs, yogurt, soup with noodles. And then start to reintroduce things back into my diet.

All in all, I give it a week. Probably overkill, but I usually find that it helps. Though if it works for me, it might not work for you...but I found it helps to be pretty strict about no solids for a day or two to help rest everything (especially since I have strictures).

I hope you feel better...
