I had an anal dilation and while they weren't able to do as much as they wanted to, it definetly helped me. I had a very low stricture in the anal/rectal area. I had been in so much pain and was having problems with not being able to have bowel movements. Things have been better. I wish you the best.

Thanks Happy Grandma...I hope this helps with all my anal pain!

Ivy- what does bump mean?

Thanks!
I am a 29 yo female, Dx with UC in 97, hospital stays monthly, tons of blood transfusion, bowel rest on TPN, prednisone, asacol, sulfa, imuran, VSP
99- multiple failed remicade treatments, more hospital stays
finally in 2001 had enough and had total colectomy (j-pouch) surgery, 1st step was good, then the reversal was not such a breeze, got peritinitis which was awful!!
the rest of 2001-2006 were amazing!
now having problems again- they are thinking Crohns.- have been on Humira with no luck

When you type bump it means just to move the post up so that it gets more attention. I hope your procedure goes well for you.

Anthius,

Instead of bringing up old posts, I suggest you start a new one of your own. Both members you have posted to have not been around for months. Also, many members tend to ignore older posts like this thinking they already responded. So you might be better served starting your own post.

Good luck!
