I never judge my health by my blood tests, as they can come back good while I am in the flare from hell. I would wait to see the results from your colonoscopy.
Good luck tomorrow.

you will have the answer after your colonscopy- and my gastro came in and told me as soon as I opened my eyes.. so you won't have to wait long.

And, like PP, I can have awesome bloods when flaring.

A colonoscopy can confirm the presence of current disease, but it can't tell you if you had previous disease which has been healed by meds or gone into spontaneous remission. In other words, a clean scope only means you don't have active Crohn's now, not that you never had it in the first place. (An exception to this is if you have Crohn's in your small bowel past the terminal ileum, where a colonoscopy can't go. There are other tests for determining small bowel Crohn's, though.)

Basically, the way to know if you have Crohn's or not is to go back to your diagnosis. If Crohn's was in evidence then, you still have Crohn's.

I was diagnosed in 2003 - and then soon went into remission for many years. Because I felt so well for so long I believed my doc was wrong and I never had crohns. I actually considered getting them to take the diagnosis off my chart! This year I am flaring and it has shocked me back out of denial. My GP told me that so many of her patients with crohns believe they don't have crohns because during periods of remission things can be so good. Still, I hope your scope goes well and I wish for you long long periods of symptom free time!
diagnosed 2003

The other thing is that a colonoscopy may not show. I had a colonosocopy and it showed nothing. I had to have the pill cam before they could see the CD.
Was on Kapidex, and Pentasa, multi Vit, Vit D. Started on Predisone and my legs started paining with loss of control. Doc stopped all meds until I can figure out what is happening with my legs. Off meds for 4 weeks. Back on 20 MGs of Pred. Starting to see Neurologist for legs as GI does not really know what is happening.

I just had a bunch of blood drawn yesterday. So far everything looks good, but I can tell you I had the worst diarrhea and was feeling so sick. So as said above blood tests don't always portray whats really going on.

Also, if they did biopsies when you first diagnosed and it showed Crohns, then you have Crohns. Hugs!

I had test after test for 8 yrs and nothing major ever showed up...even on colonoscopies.  Switched drs, he did a capsule endoscopy and dx'ed me.  He then lost the results of the capsule endoscopy.  I switched drs again and have lived with that dx for 5 yrs.  Biologics put me into remission.  Now, after 5 yrs, my GI is questioning my dx and doing more tests.  I asked if we could redo the capsule endoscopy, since that's all that showed the Crohn's, and he said insurance doesn't like to pay for it unless CT scans show inflammation but that those scans are not very accurate in showing inflammation.  So, I guess he's saying no.  So, I had no dx, then a dx, and now maybe it's wrong.  So yes, tests can be wrong and so can drs.
