Hi ... I have been diagnosed with Crohns for 5 years. I have one child who is 2 ... Flared entire pregnancy. Prednisone to help ... I am presently on remicade. Feeling much better My husband and I are thinking about # 2 ... Has anyone been on remicade during pregnancy ... My doctor says it is ok but need some reassurance. Thanks.

From what I've heard from mommies on here, is that as long as you are on Remicade before you get pregnant then you should be fine. If you start it half way through it can cause problems. I believe it is a cat B which is pretty much the same as all the 5-ASA drugs. I was on Lialda and prednisone during mine. And you'd want to get your last infusion before delivery around 30-32 weeks.
Diagnosed with UC in February 2009.
Diagnosed with Crohn's December 2009.
Flaring since October 2008 with occasional spikes in symptoms
Possible Rheumatoid Arthritis
Osteopenia

Medication: Imuran 75 mg, multivitamin, Vit B12 1 g, omeprazole. Sulfasalazine, Calcium w/vit D
