You may have remembered me posting re thoughts  whether son should come off the pentasa whilst on the Azathioprine(consultant didn't think he needed pentasa too) but left decision to us. Son decided he would try being off of it again. Approx 5 days later trouble reared it's ugly head  and has continued all week. He has just weighed himself and has lost 7lb of the much needed weight that took him oh so long to gain :( Back on the Pentasa for him!
Thoughts things were going pretty good for a while, I guess I have to lol at that.

Unfortunaely sometimes these are things we need to try. It's tough when they work to our disadvantage. Now you know, so best of luck getting the weight back!
Male, 55 years old with Crohn's since 15 years old, diagnosed at age 46. Terminal ileum resected 2002. 5 months of remission. Crohn's has now been active since May, 2003. Had a gall bladder removed Nov. of 2009. Currently on Remicade every 8 weeks, Nexium, Iron, B-12 injection every 4 weeks, Morphine Sulfate as needed for pain. Cymbalta for long term pain control. In the past, 5-asa Salofalk, Asacol, Entocort,  Imuran and Prednisone.

vixen:  life is like one big experiment, don't ya think?  Study sample of one though, and sometimes the study sample (me) has to repeat the experience cause I did't learn it well enough the first time!  Ah well, its what life is all about!  Hope your son feels better quickly! 
Meds: Celebrex, Omeprazole, Liadla, Entocort EC 9mg/day, Vit D, Mulitvit, Omega 3's, Ambian, Neurontin.

Here goes another 6 months of trying to gain 7lb(it takes me a year to lose that much and he can do it in a few days)
I did have to laugh grumpygi, make that study sample of 2 (I don't need to say anymore)
