I got some stuff done in the yard yesterday, but not any more today. I did manage to clean my blankets on my bed, and all of my pillowcases (I have 5 pillows on my bed..hehe!) Also will start the dishwasher this evening. Oooh, and I have windows opened and house is cooling off! The temp will go up again tomorrow I think, but every little bit of cooling off without the AC is great as that bill gets quite high! I also went to Goodwill and picked up a couple books to fill shelves on entertainment center...I got pretty ones, not really ones I wanted to read. The shelf looks good all filled in, and the books were only $1.50 each!

For Monday:
See if Walmart pharmacy is open (it might not be because of the holiday)
Go to parents house and clip coupons
Pick up items at Walmart (already made a list)
Go to Dominos and fill out paperwork (have to check when mgr will be there so I can see him)

How are you feeling Ivy?

Choc, itching always bothers me more than the pain of having an incision. Have you tried putting cortisone or something like that around the steri strips to help? Ooooh, and good luck with the mate's job! Glad to hear your weekend went better than last!

Well i was abit naughty and took the steri strips off yesterday in the bath. It stopped itching once the steri strips were off and i seem to have had a slight reaction to those as well. Now its all off, the wound is looking much better, not that swollen at all and the bruising has gone down alot. The big blister is starting to refill up though so abit unsure what to do with that one. Will leave it and see how it looks tomorrow.

Our kittens have started going into the back yard. Its all been very scary but now they LOVE it. Course we dont love it when it comes time to try to get them in.

Monday TLC

* fill out alittle more of the questionaire for benefit office
* work out how much money i should be getting paid next time
* start to work out how much money i need to save up for i-pod, badminton tickets, pj's, vet bill ect ect (ouch!)

Choc-I'd definitely recommend getting variety if you're gonna buy pj's for surgery...maybe a couple long dress type things in case you don't want to put anything with elastic over your waist the first couple days, then 2 piece things for a few days later. Oh, and it sounds like maybe they keep you longer than here in the US. I was home by day 7 with both of my surgeries.
My kitty is entirely indoor, and I wouldn't want her in my backyard because it's a mess. Do the kitties get dirty and have to be cleaned before coming in?
What exactly was the implant for in your arm? I'm usually bad and remove steri stips early when I have them also! Those things really itch!

My implant is my contraception, not that i need that but it stops all periods so i have no problems with my crohn's kicking off during it. Our back yard is clear now so they dont get dirty, but even if they did we probably wouldnt clean them unless they were totally filthy or got covered in something that might be dangerous to them if they licked it off.

I figured if i got about 14 pairs of pj's in various styles, i should have enough to get through a week, hopefully. I figure the first day or two i'll be in the hospital gowns for easy access for bandage changes/ wound checks ect.

whoops. sorry i tend to post then dash off. Usually cos i have a kitten chewing on my laptop power cable, or getting themselves stuck under furniture.

Feeling rather sorry for myself tonight. I have retired to bed despite it being 7pm as i have a cracking headache and generally feel rubbish. I am not impressed!!
