...I just wanted to take a moment and thank the moderators for all they do for this forum.  I realized how much you all do lately when I had an issue on another forum and the mods did nothing.  So THANK YOU for keeping it on topic and for stopping conversations when they get too argumentative.

Yes, we just see the boards ready and waiting for us, and don't think about the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making them warm and friendly places. Thank you, moderators!

I'd like to say thanks to the mods too. It's also nice to see so many of the same members coming back from time to time. Too bad it's because of an incurable disease, though.
I'm so grateful for this site, it has helped me so much through the years.

Yes thank you CD Mods.
As a RA Mod I understand how hard it is for you to mod to the multitueds on this forum. Its hard to tell when someone is having an 'issue' or just not liking an open discussion because their opinion is not the same as the majority. When is it an argument and when is it an open discussion?
You guys/gals do a great job as you cant please everybody smilewinkgrin

Now see here is the difference of opinion,  I feel the word 'republican' was not used as a political party - as not everyone who posts on here is from the US and republican means something else to us. As for bashing Americans, he was simply asking a question and in the same thread praised America.
So - is this an argumentive post or a matter of opinion post?
I come on the CD forum as its nice to just read without judging whether someone is upsetting someone else and then find I am being reproached by you in an every so nice thread. If you would like to take this up with me my email address is on my profile as being reproached on here has now turned me off visiting the CD forum.

I agree: this is an issue that could have been addressed on the RA forum, or by email... and at the time, rather than retrospectively.

I, for one, would like to acknowledge the time and hard work that SydneyJo devotes to this forum, despite her own health problems and overwhelming home and work life.

Thank you, Jo! You are appreciated.

My apologies to everyone.  If I may explain: Ivy, I tried to get moderator help at the time, not retrospectively, and did not get any help.  I only replied to SydneyJo's post on here because I felt her post yesterday was directed at me, since I'm the one who had the "issue," and because when I tried to get help on the RA forum, it only caused more problems with the guy whose comments bothered me in the first place.  I apologize...I did not know we were supposed to email the moderators.  I will just avoid the topic/post if I ever have an issue again in the future.  This was the first issue I've had and apparently I didn't know the protocol for handling it.  Again, I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.  That was not my intention.  I love coming to this forum and it greatly upsets me that I have caused a problem.

*I have deleted my post that caused the issue to prevent it from making anyone else upset.
