Hey Ivy, hope you have a good day!

I forgot to mention that a few days ago I finally fixed one of my pillows. The tag got ripped off and it tore the seam. Now I finally don't have a shedding pillow, and I'm not finding stuffing all over my bed!

For Friday:
*shower
*read
*work on parents garage (maybe)
*drop book off at library
*pick up a few groceries

What's in your parents' garage, Becky? Do you have decluttering to do too?

* tlc for legs - yes
* shower and dress - yes
* poison ants - yes
* ring S - yes
* some embroidery - yes
* I've stripped the bed, and the sheets are washing

I have the end-of-week blahs today: it's so hard to get moving...

Hope you are sleeping well, Becky.

Ivy.

My parents have 2 garages...1 has the 2 cars in it, the other has...stuff. My dad has a lot of tools and stuff, and they have shelves and lots of stuff down there. Mom wants me to organize and clean it out. I was irritated and have put off starting to work on it because she didn't ask, but told me that she expects me to do it since she's "given" me money (and she brought up how much exactly she has given so as to act like this isn't asking so much of me). Really she didn't give me money, that implies you don't want anything back for it. More that she bought me and now expects my work. Can you tell I'm still irritated? Though I appreciate her helping me, I would have rather known the money was coming with strings...like her saying, I'll give you some money, can you clean the garage? I should have known better, nothing with her comes without strings.

It's a big project, as it's a boat garage (the kind that's twice as long as a normal garage, but only as wide as 1 car) and is full of stuff. Once I start I'll be ok, it's just getting over there and starting...

Oh, and sleeping isn't going so well. My body seems to want to be up all night and sleep all day, which doesn't make me too productive. I have also had a headache the past couple days. I may take something stronger tonight and sleep at a normal time.

I really need to go to the dentist also...one of my teeth is really sensitive and I'm worried something might be wrong with it :( Oh, and I'm not going to have dental insurance for much longer either, so it's best I get it looked at right away.

Gonna head out...talking about the garage has irritated me...GRRR!

Have to pack up some tools
MIL took another fall and we will be going up to check on her and fix a few things.
Need to check the oil in the car and gas it up too.
Stuff a few things in a bag for the weekend trip.

Monkiray,,,what kind of tools ?? If theres going to be a garage sale,,let me know ...

Aaah, no garage sale. Just have to organize things so it's neat and not chaotic. My mom gets mad because my dad has tools but sometimes can't find them, so he buys new ones. It works out well for me because I get the older ones eventually and he keeps the new one!

Sniper, I hope your MIL is ok! (Oh, and you can call me Becky)

Oh, and before I go to Home Depot I usually call Dad and ask if he has something, if he has extras I'll just go by there and get them (since he's paying for everything now anyway)

I didn't answer your question...just realized. He has every saw made, scroll saw, table saw, tile saw (the kind that has water to cut tile so it doesn't break), every gadget you can imagine...power tools galore and the pretty craftsman drawer units and cabinets to hold many of them...he's spoiled! He finished the basement in their house and does home improvement instead of paying for any of it (besides things that are best left to professionals) Their last house he made beautiful cabinets that looked like they were made by professionals and his workshop was really organized. Now he's getting older and won't start a big project like that, especially with a bad back.

hey guys,

I'm still alive, just about. Saw a psycologist yesterday. It was ok, he kept asking me how everything made me feel. Which i dont know cos i never have 5 minutes to let myself figure out how i feel. Another appt booked in two weeks cos he and mostly i am not sure he is the right service for me. As a health psycologist they only offer limited appts. I told him everything was so intertwined that it would take months to sort it all out. I dont think he really believed me.
Then on the way home from hospital and mum's last job, we stopped to pick up some groceries, and i threw up in the car park. What fun. Came straight home to bed.

I popped out to the pharmacist to pick up pescription for mum and have had to go back to bed. I'm exhausted, really hot and feel incredably nauseous.

Best part of all, mum is going to her fella's this weekend so i'll be left to fend for myself. i can see me not leaving my bed much all weekend.

NCOT - i thought about you and your appt yesterday as i was waiting to go in. I was sending you good thoughts. Glad to hear it went well.
Becky - BRILLIANT news on the jobs front, its so nice to be wanted isnt it? and stupid garage, it should tidy its self like in mary poppins!
Ivy - you rock as always!

xx

Choc - Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm sorry to hear your appointment wasn't all that great. I've had a few ask-how-did-that-make-you-feel-every-5-seconds counsellors, too. There is obviously a therapeutic rationale behind it, but for me I have always just found it a waste of time. It particularly irked me when said counsellor or psychologist would smirk and wonder out loud what I was thinking about, as if each and every thought, no matter how inconsequential and throwaway, was a matter of profound significance.

I was hoping you'd get a more intelligent psychiatrist than that, but never mind. It's not your fault. There just aren't that many good psychologists/psychiatrists around.

Becky - Having to clean out your dad's garage is annoying =/ Your dad sounds like an excellent craftsman, though. I rather admire those sort of skills.

*sees time* All right, if I'm gonna go out, I'd better do it now, as I'm almost out of time. Not gonna do much. Just want to buy some cleaning stuff for the aquarium, as if we don't get to that tank soon there will be new and unheard of lifeforms growing in there. Fortunately the fish seem fairly happy - in so far as you can see them.

@Ivy - hope you're currently sleeping well :p

Choc, I'm still sleepy and not making much sense, but I want to echo what NCOT says about psych people. It really is hard to find a good one, and it sounds as if you got a particularly bad one. I'm sorry.

Please call someone for help if that fever gets too high :-(

By total coincidence, somebody else on another forum I visit said the same thing today. I quote:

I accepted the referral to the psychotherapist, and that was crap: I gave up after the fourth session. She was like a sitcom stereotype with her endless: "Uh-huh. And how did that make you feel?"

Presumably that approach must work for somebody, and that's absolutely fair enough. It's just not for me. Even though CBT didn't work for me last time, I would rather do CBT.

Fevers are horrible. Used to suffer from really bad ones all the time a few years ago :-/

LOL.

I've always felt that people like that aren't really capable, and haven't absorbed enough theory or practical know-how to be able to say anything else :-/

Maybe Navy will have a different perspective...

Huge hugs to Choc.

How's the garage going, Becky?

Heh. On top of that I reckon they're also just plain lazy, by getting the patient to do all the talking ;p

Btw, forgot to add that I did make to the pet shop. The shop assistant was excellent. I was nervous about asking, but very glad I did as otherwise I'd have bought all the wrong stuff <_<. In the end I got a scraper/sponge thing and a tap water neutraliser. I'll try to do the tank over the weekend.

@Choc - hope you feel better tomorrow. You did sound like you had a rough time of it today *hugs* :-/

Didn't get started on garage today...or get anything else done. I woke up with a fever and sinus infection so I've been in bed or watching tv all day. If it's still this bad tomorrow, I'll have to call and get a prescription for an antibiotic (luckily ex-BF's dad is a dr so I can just call him)

Needless to say, Becky is feeling down today. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

I'm ok Ivy. I have sinus infections all the time because of the Humira. Just need to get an rx so it doesn't get worse. As you can see, my sleep schedule is way off as usual, but I'm going to take Tylenol Cold again, and it's the nighttime kind, so I'll sleep again soon!
