Broth, broth and more broth. Tea, black of course. My doctor will let me have cranberry juice because it is a natural red not dyed, so that opens up a whole possibility of juice blends. The sports drinks, but I personally don't like them, so I keep to juice.

I like to make jello because it feels like you are eating.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING COLORED PURPLE, BLUE OR RED!!!!! The color interferes with being able to determine bleeding.

All liquids/Jello/Jelly/Ices have to be "clear", no milk or cream in coffee or tea.

One thing I discovered that was allowed last time I did a prep is SLURPEE's. I would get the coke flavored ones. It was a treat at least. Also, the broth really helps alot too. Good luck!

glad this was posted - I am on the drinks only today - my colonoscopy is at 2pm tomorrow - seems like a long time away without food! Nanners - slurpee's - brilliant! I'm totally going to get one today. I'm feeling nervous about my scope - last time the drugs really affected me and I felt depressed and like the world had come to an end for two days after. I'm hoping it is better this time!!

You're not supposed to have anything with fruit in it (popsicles and jello can't have fruit), so I don't think jelly is acceptable, regardless of the color.

jelly is ok according to my dr as long as not the red/purple colors. i eat green or white grape. it is just the jello packages mixed up with one cup hot water and one cup cold. sets after couple hrs in the fridge.

popsicles u have to be careful because some have fruit in them- it is only the ice-only popsicles that u can have- which is basically the same as a slushie but in more solid form! :)

i can't stomach broth so i am sick of gateraid and jello by the end of the day and crave salt as soon as i can eat again

I drank a lot of orange and yellow gaterade so I wouldn't dehydrate because it puts the electrolytes back after running to the bathroom so much and helped to keep me from feeling so weak. I also had chicken broth and orange, green or white icy's (my kids ate the colors I couldn't)
