Hello gang, long time no talk...

I have a question about marshmallow, I have heard that its good to eat 2-3 a day(large ones) and they help with the dreaded D.  Has anybody else heard of this or tried it?  If you have tried it did it work for you?

Yes even after a resection there is still the dreaded D for me...

The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun.

The original plant maybe. I doubt the modern version which is just sugar does anything therapeutic.

I was taking it for a while, along with boswellia, slippery elm and curcumin. It really helped improve symptoms, I was taking them all together so if it were only one or the combination I do not know but something was helping a lot at that time. Boswellia has been studied as well and it really put a stop to my CD pain, I assume bc it was helping with inflammation. I cannot stick with anything for long, and I hate having to take any pills or supplements because I can never remember to take them.
Something I accidentally stumbled upon yesterday/today. I have a few artichoke plants and picked and ate my first two yesterday. I don't have my colon anymore so loose stool is something I will just always deal with I assume. Anyhow, this morning I had a formed stool( I only have my sigmoid colon so I guess 4-5 inches of stool is all I will ever get) and what was behind it was more solid as well. Anyhow, I googled "artichokes, crohns" and they are actually studying the benefits of artichoke extract and IBD. Idk how it will play out in the longrun but for the season I will be eating a lot of artichokes:)  It is a thistle, and I believe that milk thistle is recommended for something crohns related.

LOL, I just re read your post. The herb Marsh Mallow not the sugar marshmellow . Ha ha, though I do consume large amounts of peeps during the easter season. The confection does not in any way contain the herb. And the sugar would probably be going in the wrong direction as far as improving intestinal health.
