Is there anyone on Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause? Has it made your Crohn's symptoms better or worse?

My symptoms started 5 years ago, primarily insomnia and hot flashes. Coincidentally, my Crohn's quieted down. I started taking oral progesterone and still no relief. I have been working with an OB/GYN, endocrinologist, and functional medicine practitioner. I have had blood, saliva and urine samples done, which all revealed very low estrogen, testosterone, DHEA and an imbalance of my cortisol spiking and dropping. I began a compounded cream of estradiol and estriol over a year ago and added in testosterone and DHEA a few months ago. Still not sleeping well, and have recently gone into a Crohn's flare-up. The only benefit I have found from the HRT therapy is my hair is much healthier and the hot flashes are gone. The insomnia is still horrid and I have gained weight! Now my Crohn's is flaring (in spite of being on Humira) and I am considering getting off of the HRT.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you!
