Okay, this is going to sound out there, but bear with me.

My bladder (well, my urethra really) has been acting up. Every night I have to pee like 7-8 times before I can fall asleep, and even then it feels like the pressure on the urethra is there. Not like a full bladder, but kind of when you are trying to go after getting a catheter taken out. Or after a bowel movement and you feel the urge to strain more but your intestines don't feel full, if that makes sense.

My PCP gave me a med to help with it since the urinalysis yesterday was clean. It dies my pee orange as a random side effect. Anyway, tonight I was straining to pee after going for the 4th time in less than 15 minutes, and it felt like really runny diarrhea came out my anus. I wiped from the back, and there was bright orange back there (and no, I'm pretty sure it didn't just trickle down that way).

But wouldn't the urinalysis have shown at least SOMETHING?

could it be an undetected bladder infection? I guess if it persists a CAT scan would give you a better idea of what's going on.

Since my latest massive abscess I've also been experiencing bladder urgency along with bowel. My guess is that my entire pelvic floor is weak and damaged. How are your bowels?
female, Canada

IVIG (on hold)

UC/Crohns - tested positive for MAP antibodies & mycobacterium
PG- remission
chronic perianal abscess and fistulas. Failed setons...it was pure torture.
started Stelara May 24, 2017. 100mg imuran

Hoping to start Anti-MAP drugs soon
Had a 10 week reprieve, now flaring...again. 4 years of flaring is tiresome.

They did a CT scan at the ER, but since my own RV fistula that I know for sure is there doesn't ever show up, I'm not all that confident in them lol.

My bowels are pretty good, actually. I have anywhere from 1-5 BMs per day (depending on how much chocolate I stress eat!!) and they're pretty formed. I've been having problems feeling this since halfway through my pregnancy, but chalked it up to that. However, my son is now almost 18 months old and the last few weeks it's gotten really bad. It's not really an urgency as much as it is feeling pressure inside the urethra, like there's urine stuck in there, not in the bladder, if that makes sense.

I have only had a RV fistula but I have a male family member with Crohns and he had a fistula to his bladder. He was actually passing gas out of his penis. I'm not sure how they diagnosed it though and he required surgery.

When my rectal inflammation got bad I did have issues with my bladder. No fistula my CR surgeon just said it was rampant inflammation. By the time I got to surgery they said my entire pelvis was full of inflammation they were worried about bladder damage post surgery but luckily it healed once my colon was gone.

Have you ever had a cystoscope? I think that's what it's called.

I have, but it was way before my pregnancy and it was for something else. And it was awful. They couldn't get an IV in for any kind of sedation, so I was just wide awake. And peeing cold water afterwards is NOT a pleasant sensation, lol.

But I think I'm going to give my CR surgeon a call and get a referral to a urologist if the pills my PCP gave me don't help.

Oh that does not sound pleasant!!! I've only had one and I was under anesthesia for surgery so I never knew it happened until they told me.

I hope the pills start to help.
