Can you feel the seton?

Sorry, but I just had a seton placed (horseshoe 270 degrees, so it was a big one) and I'm supposed to put antibiotic cream on my butt and I swear I can feel the seton with my finger. I'm less than two days out of the surgery, but is that normal? It's a little unnerving, that's really why I'm asking.
