Hi When my teen was little and had her's out it was a week before she could eat solid. What about trying whipped potatoes they are very soft and ice cream, creamed soups. I know it was more then I thought it would be and was glad that it healed, we spent a week in bed watching movies.Hoping proping yourself up helps get you some rest. lol gail

having my tonsils out and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. i couldnt swallow at all for 3 days and was literally drooling into a bowl. becasue i am on a fentanyl patch they gave me liquid morphine to help with the pain and that made me sleep a lot. the worst was having to take my meds. i take about 10 different kinds a day and they had to be crushed up and put in sherbet. it was the most painful thing to try and swallow them. i know exactly where you are coming from and im so sorry you have to go thru this. i know being older (23ll im 26) as opposed to a child it was going to be worse but i had noooooo idea.
good luck and i hope you find some relief soon
