I have to get them done every 3 months, or they won't refill my imuran. In the beginning, it was more often.....

Every 3 months until the GI was sure she had the dose at the maxium I could tolerate. I have a further genetic factor that inhibits me taking higher doses than others with CD.
Dx'd Jan'06, 1st Resection 7/06, Predinsone, Humira, Imuran, B12 injections, Nexium. Secondary conditions: Psorasis, Acne, Fatigue, Joint Pain, Lactose Intolerant, gallstones, fibroid cysts, peri-menopausal.

When I started Imuran I went for blood work once a week for about 2 months, then every other week for a while, and then every month, and if i were to stay on it, every year. I was told that blood work is VERY important to check and make sure that your liver and bone marrow are tolerating it well. You should check with your GI because they stressed that with me.
20 yr old female, diagnosed with Crohn's May 2007, but by the looks of it, probably had it for many many years.  Surgery for bowel resection, fistula repair, and abscess removal in July 2007.  Currently on 150 mg. Imuran, probably starting Humira instead.  Have taken: Ciprofloxacin, Metronidazole, Prednisone, Zofran, Ambien, Imodium
