My daughter and I both have CD. Michelle is concerned about her daughter, Skyler. At Skyler's 6 year check up Michelle brought it up to the doctor. Skyler is very tiny (34lbs) complains of tummy problems and does get mouth ulcers fairly often. Petiteness does run in the family (not me). And Skyler does hear her mom and grandma complain of tummy aches and she is a drama queen. Just a little background. But Michelle thought it would be wise to mention our history. The pediatrician decided to run some blood tests. I have no idea what kind they were but the doctor called my daughter this afternoon to say they found something in Skyler's blood tests and wouldn't say anything over the phone. Michelle has to go in on Monday to talk with the doctor. I'm concerned and need to have prayers for the family. I'm going to try and not worry about this until we know something more but it's going to be a very long weekend. Thank you my dear friends.

Your family is on the top of my list to pray for tonight. I can't believe the Dr. is making you all wait over the weekend! Faith is a powerful thing but I'm sure you know that already.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. I hope all turns out okay, at least if heaven forbid she does have CD it will be caught early so treatment may go better.

Diagnosed with CD in Jan 07 after going to different doctors for fissures or what I thought were hemmeroids. After getting a colonoscopy they found out I had Crohns. I had no idea what the hell CD was, but once I read up on it, realized I've had mild symptoms since age 12. I'm now 19.
I have mild to moderate CD, and don't have many symptoms other than my 3 fissures, stomach pain after eating, diarreah, bloating, cramping, gastritis on occasion, and then other random health issues that are caused from CD like gingivitis for example.
Just got off of Entocort (too many side effects) and Cipro. I'm now trying the Maker's Diet as well as a bunch of vitamins and probiotics. Let's hope this helps a bit!
This site is great for support.

MorMor,
My Swedish MorMor would say this prayer to me when I was little:
Gud som haver barnen kär, God who holds His children dear,
Se till mig som liten är. See how little I am.
Vart jag mig i världen vänder, Wherever I may go in the world,
Står min lycka i Guds händer.
My life is in God's Hands.
Praying for you all,
Cecilia
