I was on around the clock pain medicine for 9 days, IV and the last few days before I was discharged,  60 mg MS Contin and then 45, 30 and none etc. IV morphine every 2 hours for pain and then just for breakthrough pain. Now I have a dry mouth and feel a little off balance with my equilibrium. I am not taking any pain medicines or narcotics now and I am wondering if this stuff is still in my system or something. I have an extremely dry mouth too and have been drinking liquids and dont have much an appetite.

I have just been off since this past Sunday when I was discharged. I am hoping the equilibrium thing settles down the most. I must have drank about 9 bottles of water today. I dont feel like eating a thing. The constant thirst must be an effect too. The nurses kept saying you are drinking lots of water thats good. I guess I just need to give it time and try to slow myself down.
