This doesn't necessarily have to be CD related, just curious about what, if anything, you would change if you knew then what you know now.

Wow...where do I start!

Ummm, I wish I had learned who I really am and to love myself first at an earlier age and not to have unrealistic expectections of others based upon what I thought they should be/say or do. Both of these circumstances would have saved me sooooooooo much pain.

In relation to the take better care of myself sooner and to have been better educated about medical procedures/drug therapies and natural alternatives that could have lessened the effects of this disease.

i would have worried a lot less. i still obsess over little things but nothing was every right becasue i worried over anything from what time to be somewhere to whether i was going to do something right.
AND i would have went out more, been more crazy, more social and just had a lot more fun instead of being scared to do things all the time. i'd have lived it up!!!

mine is crohn's related, i wished i had realized that something was wrong with my body a long time ago. it came on slowly and i chalked it up have food sensitivities for years. if i had gone to the doctors when symptoms started rather than waiting until i was in severe pain, maybe i wouldn't have ended up with my stricture and scar tissue. but then again, who wants to talk poo with your doctor?! i was very embarrassed in the beginning, i've gotten a lot more comfortable talking about it now :)

Id have told my parents in high school to get me a new GI, I would have been open to trying more diet alternatives rather than being in denial that dairy could have been part of my problem.

Would not change a thing that is possible to change. There is only one thing that I would change if I had control of some special time eraser. Does not being born count???

wish I would have known about the bodyfuel smoothie yrs ago instead of drinking milk shakes and liquid diets during a flare up which still made me feel like crap! Also not have stressed so much @ it over the yrs which probably only contributed to my flares. A much healthier mind is a much healthier body!

If I could change anything...hmmm mostly I like the way things have gone. Maybe I would change how I hired the contractor for my siding....I could've met my husband 3 years sooner and we might have had kids.
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]
