Ok, so I got my flu shot on the 2nd. I had not been feeling great, just a little stuffy. But on the actual day I didn't really feel all that bad, so I went ahead and got the shot. Ever since then I just don't feel good. Some days my ears hurt, some days my sinus, some days sore throat, most days a low grade temp (99.5) and some days I don't really feel all that bad. I don't really feel sick enough to go to the doctor or stay home but I don't feel good.

Should I just give myself more time to fight this off? Did I make a huge mistake by getting the flu shot? And will it actually work since I was sick when I got it? Basically does anyone have any wonderful ideas on how to make me feel better, fast! yeah

This is a very interesting question, I am looking forward to hearing other people's answers.  I have had colitis that bothered me on and off for years (mostly off) - last year I got a flu shot AND got sick (flu-like symptoms) AND had a dental problem that requires antibiotics - long story short, after manageable symptoms for years I ended up in the hospital for 10 days on a steroid and morphine drip for the pain.  Diagnosis was Crohn's colitis.  I know they don't know why sometimes things progress like this, and it could have been weither the combination of everything settling in my intestines - or could it have been the flu shot that triggered it?  I had previously always thought it was the actual flu that sent me over the edge.  I have been wondering since I was debating getting another one this year so I don't get the flu that can put me in the hospital again.

I'm not sure. Thats the problem. I can't really put my finger on how I don't feel well. I just don't feel right. I've always gotten the flu shot, and it usually makes me feel a little sick for a day or two, but not like this. I guess I'll give it through the weekend at least and see how I feel. I hate to jump right to antibiotics, (which is what my doctor will do if I call) cause they will do a number on my gut. Right now my belly is doing OK, its the rest of me that just feels like crap.
