You're stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's going to be hit or miss finding a drug that works for you and that will be easier on your liver. I'm going through testing now to see if I have PSC and it makes me nervous about
the future of treating this disease (not to mention the long term problems associated with liver disease).
Depending on what your doctors say about
the Prednisone affecting the liver, it may work better for you to get relief from your symptoms, at least until they can figure out what else they can use. Some people get no relief from the Entocort but the Prednisone works well. Of course, it will usually be temporary relief. I think though, that the Prednisone affects your liver more than the Entocort.
Good luck and let us know how it's going, I'll be thinking of you.
49 years old, CD since I was a child.
Six resection surgeries, permanent ostomy, adverse reactions to Remicade, finally off of Prednisone, back on 6MP for maintenance, hoping for a long remission from this last surgery.
