I know I had asked about using a stool softener and am trying colace. My CD has always been very loose stools and I do go alot.  I still go alot but  lately my stools are hard... ( can colace work the opposite??)  I have constant pressure then finally go...  ( have a prolapse so that is not helping!) What would cause this and I am wondering why the stool softeners don't work.  SOOOOO  frustrated.  I have recenly been dx. with hypothyroid and was also wondering if  that had anything to do with it.  Also started taking neurotin..  Any thoughts???  So  strange!

My first thought is dehydration, but it's just a guess. Maybe one or more of the newer drugs you're taking are contributing to it. Try drinking lots more water?
