I made the mistake of going to bed at the top of the 11th (when all heck broke lose).  I just want to know how the heck the red sox lost SEVEN runs in that one inning.  I don't have the patience to read through espn etc.  I had my CCFA walk this morning and had to get some sleep! On the upside I raised almost $1200!! Yay!! And by the way, whoever suggested crocheting when the red sox were in the World Series is a genius.  I started crocheting again during last nights game and it really saved my fingernails :)

Hooray to you for raising so much for CCFA. I didn't watch that ball game. I just moved near Denver, Colorado and am suddenly becoming a Rockies fan. Hope to see you at the World Series!

Hi Fitzy!! I'm from around Boston, MA and watched the almost whole game. When I woke up (my brother was there live and went home around 1:30 a.m. He lives in Watertown, so at least he wasn't too far away) this morning, my bf said, 'oh we only lost by a couple runs) Mind you when I went to bed, we were only behind 2 in the 11th.  Just now, it has come to my attention that we lost by many more!  No idea how. . . . In the land of Red Sox nation that I love and adore I must say, I'm not entirely surprised!  Hopefully Dice-K will kick some serious a**.  have fun and don't stay up late tomorrow night. I'm limiting myself Monday as I'm working the next 13 days straight, so I must rest too.  (we'll need plenty of energy for the World Series!! :)

If the BoSox make it there. heh! heh! Heh!

That was quite a collapse on Saturday evening. I live in Atlantic Canada so it is even later here for me. I was asleep and in my dream, the announcers interrupted something interesting -- can't remember what -- and I woke up to see Trot Nixon scoring. Gagne came in and couldn't get anybody out, more runs scored. The crowd booed poor Gagne out of the game. I don't know who came in next but it was a romp for the Tribe.

I got a kick out of the BOSOX website the next day. The headline read something like, "Former Bosox player wins game"

Have fun watching the rest of the play offs. At least your team is still in it. I've been a Yankees fan since before Don Larsen's perfect game.

Cheers

I'm a Mets and Twins fan (Rochester NY is the AAA team for the Twins). I couldn't take the Sox game the other night. They are the only team left that I know anything about. How frustrating to watch them blow up and stay up late to watch it!

Fitzy are you crocheting some Red Socks????

I stayed up late last night for the Rockies/DBacks rain fest too. Hey TV people...it's OK to cancel a game for horrible rain. Really I'll watch it another day :-) Another late night tonight and a sore thumb---from flipping between football and baseball. I am actually hoping there is no hockey on or I will drive hubby nuts flipping channels.

belle- yeah the reason I asked is b/c the websites all focused on the redsox great *comeback* in the game, and failed to elaborate on how they lost SEVEN runs in the last inning. Grrr.

And no, Habs, I can only do single and double stitches and do scarfs and blankets only.
