i've had the D for about the last 3 weeks. at first,I thought it was because it was coming towards my remicade infusion. well, i had that 2 weeks ago and still have the D. there is no pain, no loss of weight or other symptoms. the question I have is should I go and see my G.I.? i don't have another appt. with him until Feb.'08.

You can always call and leave a message rather then going in. But if I only had D and no other symptoms I wouldn't go. I have D every day.

Hi How long have you been on the Rem. and Imuran ? Is this something knew or have you had the D most the time? That is a long time to wait to see him. I have had a lot of D too lately and I think it might be due to coming off pred. and a cold, and now pnuemonia. I had my 5th infusion so far and I am on Imuran 100 too. Hope you get it better I got so bad I had to take an imodium a couple of times which slowed it down. I am glad to hear you are not having pain. Keep in touch and let us know what you decide. lol gail

Since you have lost a chunk of your TI fat mal-absorption might be an issue. When you have diarrhea does it ever look oily in the toilet bowl. If you have diarrhea caused by fat mal-absorption it can easily be controlled by cholestyramine (Questran).

I have had that same feeling especially if I go mall shopping with my 13 year old and do a ton of walking. It feels like your uterus is going to fall on the floor. I was told by my OB/GYN that it was due to a mild prolapse of my vagina as a result of childbirth following my 2 kids. This was all prior to crohns. I still get it from time to time after being on my feet all day. It is relieved by laying down. I am curious to see what they say.

Stay well
Chris

Gosh thats an awful long time to go w/o seeing your doctor. I constantly have D, but its gotten a little bit better lately. I would try to get an appt. sooner than 08. I think we should be checked up every month, but thats just my opinion. The disease is more serious to me than it is to some.
