Does anyone remember the website posted here a good while back which linked to an article showing (in a diagram) where Asacol, Pentasa, etc are absorbed in the GI tract? After two years of being on Asacol, it is now "exiting" as a whole or partial and recognizable pill. I am wondering if changing meds will help and wanted to read that article again. Thanks to anyone who can find or remember it.

Teddybear is right. I too am on Asacol, and what you are seeing is the shell, not the whole pill. The coating has little holes in it and the med slowly oozes out.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

You'll find the same thing generally with Pentasa. Often the shell is passed and you can also see the little beads that are inside in your stool.....

No, it wasn't just the shell because you could see the white medicine inside it. One end of it was partially dissolved.
