we talked about a lot of things. my colonoscopy came back with only mild crohns ao that was good as i was mod to severe a few months ago. i can come off pred now!!!!!!! but i have to taper 2.5 becasue ive been on it almost 5 months so that sucks itll be christmas before im done. i have to go for a SBFT this week so he " can check out the extent of the disease in my small intestine" which i am so not looking forward to. i remember most of the things they do but do you know how much barium they make you drink? im going to tell them in advance to have a garbage can close casue usually what barium goes in comes right back out. were going to keep on with the doubled dose of remecaide and see how that works out for me. im hoping it holds me but im also conflicted. we talked about how my neuro thinks that the remecaide is contributing to my neuro MS like symptoms but we agreed that the neuro is going to keep a watch on me. even tho i know that the neuro wont be comfortable till im off the cade. but i see him in 4 months so ill deal with it then i guess.

so i guess thats it. oh yeah and even though i have little diesase process showing i still have D like 4 times a day (which believe me i know isnt so bad) so he wants me to do some benefiber and lomotil. he says maybe thats just going to be how it is for me now. so we shall see how that works. im going to try the benefiber before the lomotil tho to see if that makes a difference, i dont want to add another med if i dont have to.

so thats my big long story, overall not too bad :)
thanks for listening and for the info on the SBFT if you have it

Glad the GI visit went well. When you start the Benefiber be sure to start slowly and work your way up.

You asked about how much barium they make you drink. It sounds like everyone has had different experiences but I had to drink two of those pitcher liners they use in hospitals to put in patient's rooms with water. It was a lot. I could get through one but had the second one sitting there waiting. It was difficult. I've had a lot of tests done over the years but I have to say that is the only one I would really dread having done again. I'd rather do a colonoscopy prep!!!
10 years, many tests, 3 gi doctors, Pentasa 1000mg 3x day
diovan, simvastatin and now trying good ol' zoloft
