I have an enterocutaneous fistula.  It is right under the belly button.  Granted it would be right under my belly button if mine were not shifted slightly to the right from surgeries this year.  This fistula seems to drain more around the time I need my Humira.  It had pretty much stopped oozing poop and was limited to pus with the exception of opne afternoon the other week.  A cpl days ago the pus drainage increased and for the past 2 or 3 days it is darker and you can tell it is mixed with feces again. The hole isnt even visable to me anymore but after removing the gauze over the area I literally can see it slowly ooze out.  It isnt oozing heavily I am still able to get up and get a face cloth to wash the surrounding area and all without dripping anything anywhere.

Ok here is the part about it looking odd.  The area to the left of the fistula hole the other day started to look slightly like a blister but it doesnt hurt nor is it itchy.  At that point I could see a slight crack in the skin while moving the area around while cleaning it.  At this point I can no longer see where this stuff is oozing from but the bubble like area has grown a little bigger.  it is smaller than a pea at this point the area isnt hard or hot to the touch.  any ideas on what this is?  Is this something I should call my surgeon or GI on when Monday rolls around?  Right now I am so busy it isnt even funny...my husband and I are moving in with my papa this upcoming weekend the 28th is when the moving company is coming we still have so much packing to do its crazy.  In addition with the dust being kicked up etc my allergies and asthma are acting up lots too.  Actually just refilled my nebulizer meds just in case I need them....hope I dont but rather have them on hand if I need them

Hi Steph so glad your fis sounds better. Before mine healed it would get a bubble sometimes it would burst it did this two or three times before it healed completely. At least with the bubble on it it keeps the stuff in mine busrt once when I bent over in shower. Sounds like your Hum. is doing it's job .The bubble would get the size of a dime . Good luck with your moving you could always get a mask if the dust is getting picked up might help with the dust allergies. Wishing you the best and glad you got your Hum sounds like you had quite a time but things seem to be getting bettter for you hang in there and let us know how things go .Have you got your costume for Halloween worked out yet have fun !!! How is your BM's on the HUM? Are you having to take Imuran or pred with your Hum? I need to know this as I might be going on it. Thanks . lol gail

I did find that it is leaking from the middle of the bump. I am having more drainage now but that seems to happen when I am nearing my next humira dose. I am tapering off entocort and will be off it as of Thursday that is my only CD med besides the Humira at the moment.
