I have been trying for over a year now to find out why I have such bad joint paint that will move from joint to joint, gets red, full of heat and swells. I had my 1st surgery 2 years ago and was put on Remicade shorthly after. I was on the Remicade for a little over a year and mid way thru is when I started getting this joint pain. I started at every 8 weeks with my treatments and about week 7 the loint pain would start either during my treatment or the shortly after no more joint pain. Then it got to be where I was needing my treatments ever 5 weeks and then I built up the antibodies so no more Remicade. Tried Humira 3 injections all 3 had a reaction at the injection sight so no more Humira. I have had blood tests, xrays with all showing nothing. Today I had a bone scan from head to toe and lots of xrays on my lower back, no results yet. My arthritis Md says its crohns my GI says no its not the crohns and still nobody knows. Has anyone ever had this happen? I feel like I am getting no where and the only way for me to make it thru the day and still try to work is to take lots of Advil(bad i know) prilosec because of all the Advil, muscle relaxers, pain meds. Dont kinow how much longer I can continue to take all that crap. Any idea?????

I think everyone gets joint issues with Remicade.  Mine come and go, but I can get through the day, SO FAR.  Thank goodness.  Keep reading threads on here regarding that, there are a lot.  Good luck to you.

Oh yeah, my joints ache terribley, and I've been on remicade for a few years now. My knees are the worst, they get hot, swollen, and feel like they're going to burst. My fingers and toes are pretty bad too.

I hope you can get some relief soon!
