Anyone taken Miralax? How quickly does it work/should I stay close to a bathroom all day? How long does it last?

It works quite well, doesn't take long at all. And you should definitely be sure to stay near the bathroom! You won't believe what comes out of you. When I take the big bottle for my colon prep, I usually end up finishing it around dinnertime, but I'm still going the next morning.

I only want to try it, just one packet. I've got a great deal of inflammation and am having an enormous amount of pain so that's why I'm taking the Percocet. I think that's causing me to be stopped us. I usually have the opposite problem, I'm usually going entirely too much. So I want to try Miralax to see if that helps the feeling that I'm stopped up. Do you think one dose would wreak havoc on my system? Will I be up all night in the bathroom?

Just like everything, it depends on the person. It takes about 3 -4 days for Miralax to work for me & I don't have an urgent need for the bathroom. I, however accidently poured it in my coffee thinking it the creamer and it was definitely too much & a problem for me a couple days later. lol

Robyn1973-- You just made my whole day!

Miralax did nothing for me for several days and even then didn't do much. But I have severe C. Guess it depends on each person.
