I am flaring pretty bad right now and have not had relief in a few weeks. Everytime my guts spasm I feel a weird bump move up and down. Is this my intestines? Anyone had this? I am so tired of hurting. I can't eat much so I ave been enjoying Boost for a lot of my meals. I am also so fatigued. I am currently waiting for the call to get my 1st remicade infusion scheduled. I am trying to tough it out till then, just freaking out. I have never flared this long and this bad. I am scheduled to start my "cycle" on the 2nd of Nov, so I know it will only get worse before then. I just wonder what I should do. sad

Those littlel bulges are pockets of gas. They move around. Sorta like being pregnant and watching the bady's foot, fist or knee moving was what they reminded me of. Except I don't remember any of my kids being so spiteful as to make it hurt so much as when those darn gas bubbles move thru the small intestine!!! Hey, the small intestine wasn't made to stretch THAT wide and thick!! It hurts! They aren't just little gas bubbles by any means!!! Generally, after one would move thru and sorta melt away I'd hear or feel gurgling from the area. Little bitty gas bubbles moving thru as the big one breaks up.

Speak of watching the abdomen and movement thru the small intestine .... did you know, if you are on the slim side that you can actually see the scope moving thru your colon during a colonoscopy?? You'll see a red light thru your skin as it snakes along your colon. Especially down the ascending colon on the right side to the ileocecal valve where the colon is closest to the outer surface of you body.

See? You learn something new every day!

Some people are like Slinkies... Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

So, it's gas??? Would taking something like gas-x make it better???? I will head to the store right now if I have to. It hurts and it makes it hard to stand up without being hunched over like an old person. You discribed it to the tee!!!! I actually took a pregnancy test after seeing the movement one night just freaking out!!! (I have had my two kids and my husband has a vasectomy, no more kids for us) My mom keeps telling me to suck it in, I finally lose all the weight I had wanted to (at the beginning of the year) and now I can't fit into my wonderful size 5 because my belly is soooo bloated!!!! UGH!!! Please, give me some suggestions!

Thank you so much for the information. Oh, about the colonoscopy, were you awake when yours was done? Yikes, I am all for being knocked out when someone is sending a camera up my rear.

BM's?? I don't quite know what those are, I don't have them often enough to know. I just decided I should start a BM chart. UGH! How old am I?? I don't fart but maybe......ugh.....counted 3 times today. I was so excited!!! HAHA!

I went to the store and bought some Gas-X as of right now I have taken 500mg of those little pills. Not much relief. Still an alien lives on in my belly. We will see by tomorrow. I will sleep on it.

I had a partial obstruction from a stricture for almost a year before having a resection, and every time I ate something that couldn't pass through I would spasm and get/see the lump. Near the end of the year I could feel it all the time, the bowel wall had thickened.
