Hi everyone...

Ive been diagnosed with crohns for two years now and am having some weird symptoms my doctors cannot diagnose.

Wanted to see if anyone had difficulties with their eyes in the past associated with their Crohns. I have been having off and on bleeding for the past 6 months or so...it mostly seems like my eye lid bleeding but it is the weirdest sensation in the world for your vision to all of a sudden go blurry with blood. It happens at random times throughout the day and typically my eyes will have been more red than normal that week. Im on pentasa and remicade but no other meds.

Sound familiar to anyone? Ive been to see my trusted gastro doc, and countless eye doctors with no avail. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it!

Meaghen

Welcome to Healing Well, Meaghen! When you say your eyelid is bleeding, which lid are you taling about? Is it your lower or upper lid? Is the blood coming out of the corner of the lower lid?

The reason I ask is that a person with a sinus infection can have their inner lower eye lids bleed. Even though you may not have obvious symptoms of a sinus infection, has anyone checked you out for this?

I look forward to hearing more from you.

I've had eye problems, but nothing like that. Sorry you have to deal with it.

So far I've just had inflammation, kerititis. I've literally just gone to bed because it is so uncomfortable, but it clears up with drops.

Good luck figuring your's out. Hopefully someone will come along with more help.
Currently in remission!
