I would ask your GI doc what they suggest since you are newly diagnosed.

I know when I had the gas and bloating, (I looked like I had a kwashiorkor belly) I just suffered through it because I didn't even think about OTC gas products. about a month AFTER I got diagnosed my coworker with an autoimmune disease told me to try dietary enzymes cause she said it helped her digest her food better so I did and I feel it helped me with keeping it less gassy and poofy. As I am healing with time, da belly is slowly getting flatter and flatter. =0)

This might sound silly but depending on if you are a man or woman, wearing looser pants/underwear or dresses with no waist or a very loose waist TOTALLY help to at least make you feel more comfortable esp during the first month.

take care

Hi Just wanted to ask how your doing? Hope things are looking better for you today. Some people try gas X but you could ask your DR. what is best for it. Has he got you on some meds? lol gail

I take Maalox or Mylanta occasionally for my gas. You can't use it too much though as it can add to the D. Have you tried Gas-X?
