So I have written a few times about my tailbone pain in the last week and they finally know what is wrong with me and it is not in my intestines ( I know weird).  I have a dermoid benign tumor on my right ovary the size of a golf ball.  I am relieved that it is something that can be fixed without drugs.  I am going to have my first surgery and it isn't crohns related!  Dermoids are pretty gross though. They are a bunch of cells that have grouped together and can form anything from hair to EYEBALLS!  I think it is the perfect thing to have for Halloween.  It is really painful though.  It is a sharp piercing pain when I walk or go to the bathroom.  But relief is near, hopefully.

What are you doing swallowing eye of newt? You're suppose to remove the eyeball from your cauldron before consuming the brew!

Yeah, I have a nice one on my right ovary too. 2nd one in 2 years. So far it's not lookin to scary, they're leaving it alone for now.

Hope your surgery goes well! Will it be lapro or incision? Just want to know for future reference. Last one they removed on me was during my resection. Kinda a two for one deal you know.

Crap!!!!  So I spoke with my GYNO doc about my dermoid and she is doubtful that it is the cause of my pain.  I am really irritated, I thought that this is what it has to be.  I am still going to get it out but now I am scared that I am still going to have this agonizing pain when it is out.   I think I might try a chiropractor before my surgery and see if there might be some weird misalignment thing going on.  Esh what a pain in the butt. literally!  Also, yes I will let you know the name of my dermoid. It depends on what it contains; if it has an eye it will be Eyezabella!

Rubix, I just found out what was causing my tailbone pain too. And not Crohn's related either. It looks like I have a slight dislocation of my coccygeal (tailbone). I fell on it back in March and it didn't start hurting until August. Haven't had a chance to talk with the doctor yet. I'll probably have to go see a orthopedic surgeon about it. I did find out that I have nabothian cysts within my cervix though. But that seems to be a normal occurance with woman of childbearing years.

I had a dermoid the size of an orange removed back in 2000 when I was 16. This was long bbefore crohns was mentioned. Taking it out didnt relieve the pain I was having which turned out to be endometriosis. Now I have another one on my other ovary but we're just leaving it for now until it starts to cause pain or if it gets a lot bigger when we check on it in a year. I wish I could just have it out I hate the idea of something growing in my body.

Yah, I have a bad feeling that I will still have this horrible pain after they remove it. It sucks, this is not something I can live with. I am terrified that I am going to have to do just that.
