hi everyone!  It's been a while.  UGH, well first, I've been feeling "ok."  Not good, not bad.  I've also been schooling my children at home through a charter on-line school.  Have had two speaking/singing engagements this past month.  OH, we had a fire this summer.  (no one was hurt, but we were out of our home for a week.)
I'm heading up a couple of different things at church, and..........um......the end.  I think that's it. ha ha
I've missed you all.  (I see some new names too! cool!)
Anyway, Just wanted to say Hello, first of all, but also, a fellow "crohnie" and myself were talking tonight, and got into some silly conversations.  The product of one of those conversations is the poll that I'm attaching.  Don't ask....ha ha  (just answer)
Take Care,
Julie

Wow you have a lot going on! Glad to see you up here again. And Im clarifying my poll answer- I will gas all I want at the parents house and always have... my husband and I dont gas outloud unless it slips but I can not burp quietly to save my life. I burp all I want but fart in private, unless I am sure it is silent.

Fitzy I am just like you. I burp in front of my husband, but not the other. Causes problems sometimes.

CDTriplet mom it really is good to hear from you again. Glad you are feeling relatively well and sounds as if you are keeping busy.

Thanks guys! It's good to be back. You are cracking me up! The funny thing is, I fart around my husband, but HE will not fart in front of me! LOL
Every once in a while I "catch" him at it when he thinks no one is around, but he won't do it on purpose like alot of men. Too funny!

Hello all.

I don't actually have Crohn's Disease, but am very familiar with it, because my Mother has it.

I had to get in on this though.

I am a 26 year old female. I was with my high school sweetheart from the time I was 16, until I was 23. We farted around eachother from early in our relationship, and infact, still do. We would even poop with eachother in the bathroom, and like I said, this was all early on.

I have been with my current boyfriend for 3 years now, and have NEVER farted in front of him, though I do burp all the time. I definately don't poop in front of him either. Now, he farts in front of me like it's a big game, and I am fine with that, but he won't really poop in front of me. One time I walked in the bathroom when he was going, and I didn't know it, and he got emberrased. Odd.

So yea, that was totally an interesting topic! Love it, love it!

I have always believed they stink, for the benefit of those that dont hear them.
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

Well, I guess I'm no lady then. I am not going to sit there in pain and hold it in so that I don't do it in front of my husband. I just let it out. I think it's easy for me because one of our first dates involved a lot of boiled seafood and garlic.... and we both ate tons of garlic that day. Needless to say, the embarrassing part about it was pretty much nonexistent after that.
