A man with severe Crohn's interviews top experts in Crohn's in hopes for a cure including: a geneticist, Dr. Hermon-Taylor (the inventor of the MAP vaccine), A scientist running the UK hookworm clinical trials, and a patient who's been in long-term remission (dare I say cured?) after a stem cell transplant.

v cool, may send to my parents but then maybe it'll freak them out as he was seriously sick and i'm only a moderate to mild case.

Thanks though, love the idea of the worms!

Diagnosed July 06 been ill since 96!
Had a Flare April 07 was on Pred now off it!
Had a scope July 12, waiting on results - need a Barium Follow Through as they couldn't get round to the illeum...
On Pentasa 6 tabs a day.

I saw it, it was pretty scary because this guy really has a rough time with his Crohns and got me thinking I don't want to be like that... but on the other hand, it is very promising to know that there are so many scientists working to find a cure!!!

very interesting. i feel for that kid. makes me feel bad about ever complaining how bad *i think* my crohn's gets. good to hear about the advancements in researching a cure for us though :)
