I'm going to call my GI on Monday.  All week I have had a decent amount of pain both in my stomach and my rectum.  I feel like I am getting sick but then a formed poop comes out.  I've also had a lot of naseau.  I've been pretty much avoiding foods I know I can't eat, even through thanksgiving. But I will have pain, feel really sick, rush to the bathroom, push push push, and end up with a formed poop.  Because of the lack of D I'm not sure if I need the steroid or not.  If I do go on it I will have to stay on it full strength until after Christmas because I had a tough withdrawal on it last time and I do not want to deal with that during finals.  My GI has said in the past to not flare for more than a week without calling him and going back on entocort.  I'm going to call on Monday and either go in or talk with him on the phone.  Would you still up your meds based on pain and naseau and burning butt alone or would you have to be having D too?  I'm not sure but I think I had some mucus.  Fun times!

Hi Fitzky, Sorry to hear about all the pain your having. If your doctor wants you to up your meds
I would do it. It should make you feel better. Also have you been drinking alot of fluids. My prayers
are with you and I hope you feel well.

Hi Any chance your constipated? Hope you get to feeling better but at least you have a course of action if you need it. Pain and naseau are good reasons to up if they continue as your DR. said not to wait too long. Best Wishes. lol gail

Hi Fitzy,

Have you ever been free of symptoms?

NJ- thats a tough question to answer. I have called myself in remission for quite sometime but I still have to stay strict on the diet and go to the bathroom when my gut says to go. I have formed BM's up to 3 times/ day. Sometimes I get stomach cramps with them. Sometimes they burn. So no I have never been entirely symptom free. But I have had a lot less symptoms and am in "my" remission. But, lately its been turned back up. Over the thanksgiving break I swore I would call the doc Monday for entocort. But, Sunday and Monday I felt like a new person. Hubby cooked some unhealthy food last night but I ate it since he cooked it and the cramping and gas came back but no D. Since the pain from last week is 90% gone I am going to tough it out. If it comes back, I will def. call the doctor.

Fitzy when I have that C feeling I usually try taking stool softners. They help to keep things moving smoothly and gently. Good Luck!
