Does anyone here take HUMIRA and get SEVERE body aches: Lately it has really been affecting both of my arms..... and then @ times it is the whole body and it is so painful. Nothing helps and not sure what to do. I have been dealing with a blood clot in my lung as well so obviously a lot of my pain is that as well as my Crohn's. But I have the severe body aches for long before diagnosed with the clot. And as I thought about it I realized that it has been about since I started HUMIRA that these pains have been so severe!

Thanks Much- Brittany

Wow- never heard of Just checked it out and couldn't get to something that had the side effects. I do research all of the time and have not found this being a side effect but can't come up with too much else..... DARN! Yes my Dr. knows of course and he is great. Have an apt. with him tomorrow and I will really let him know how severe it is. Thanks soooooooooo much, Britt

I get arm pain a couple for a couple of days after the shot and then it goes away. I know I am not supposed to, but I take advil. The pains can get bad. The advil really helps, but don't take it unless your doc says it's ok. Mine said yes.

If they are severe as they say you are, you need to see your gastro immediately.
Are you having any other symptoms...such as weakness, tingling, etc.?
Reason being is that TNF blockers can cause neurological damage. Don't want to worry you, but it happened to me and it started off as body aches.

CBK- Oh yes of course my Dr. knows! He is working with me. I think it is just my Crohn's and maybe the HUMIRA. But I Am being watched very very carefully for all and any side effects to it! Had a bad reaction to Remicade and dealing with a severe (and random) blood clot in my lung, so I am sure all of this is related if you could imagine. Really appreciate everyone's support. Brittany

I started getting very bad all over body aches about 2 years ago.  I truly believe it is a reaction to remicade.  I had a severe reaction from it & it just seems that all the extraintestinal complications came after that.  I now take humira & for the 1st 5-6 days I am very fatigued.  I take norco everyday.  When I don't my feet & hands tingle & burn & the all over bodyaches are intolerable.  So its hard for me to say if I get them from humira, cuz I had them to a point already.  God Bless.

Dx with CD 1987, 3 resections, 3 abcess sx, OA back & hips, bulging disk, Major depression/anxiety, kidney stones & sx to remove, now 44 yrs old.  Still trying to figure this disease out & of course all the little extra complications that come with this rollarcoaster of a life with CD.
Meds:Humira 40mg every other wk, Imuran .75 daily, welchol 625 x 3 daily, cymbalta 60 mg daily, norco 10/325 x 4x, fish oil, vit e,folic acid,Vit B12,inject monthly,
