Yow, sounds like a lot of liquids to get down. What's the time line? Fleets first, then the Dulcolax? When you start drinking the Miralax with the liquid, you can probably stop when your stool starts coming out clear even if you haven't used up all the mixture, that's what my doc always told me.

I'll be thinking of you on Sunday, just keep telling yourself how long you've been waiting for the dang tests. Hopefully it will all be worth it, hopefully you'll finally have some answers.

it is amazing how different all the preps are. I had 2 fleets and 4 dulcolax pills and 2 simethicone tablets (sp?) seperated into 2 doses. I would have been ok with just one dose cause I was plenty clean the second doses just went right through me.

I hated the fleet though but I kept hard handy in my mouth (in my cheek) while I swallowed and as soon as it went down I sucked on the candy to get rid of the taste.

good luck!

I usually only use one bottle of Fleets and thats all SHE needs if you get my drift. I couldn't get all that down if they paid me. And no Sniper, if they tried to pay, I still wouldn't do it. LOL

Thanks guys, Judy I have to take the fleets first with a 4oz glass of water, that's at 4pm. then at 5 I start the miralax mixed with 64 ozs of
crystal0lite, having a glass every 15 mins until it's gone, then at 7 I take the ducolax. Talk about overkill. I have to admit that I bought an
extra bottle of fleets, in case I can't get the miralax down. I HATE prepping!!!

Jolly Ranchers are what get me through preps. The only prep I've done that hasn't made me violently ill is the magnesium citrate. Best of luck!

Hi, I too had my share of preps I am missing so many parts I don't have much to clean, tried some new stuff the last time, it was called movieprep, about 2 liters of the same stuff co-lytly but about half the amount of the nasty (liquids) stuff. look online for more information on the Movieprep. Just a tip I eat less or no solids days before I do a prep for a test, less in there less to clean out, try it it works for me.

Vicky, my prep was a little different than yours.  I had to take 2 dulcolax tablets at 10:00am, followed by the Miralax/64 oz Gatorade starting at 3:00pm, every 15 minutes.  I found the Miralax prep much better than any other prep. (if there is such a thing, lol! eyes ) The Miralax was PLENTY to clean me out!  Good luck to you.  Julie

Talk about OVERKILL!!! That prep is ridiculous! I'd just buy my two bottles of Fleets and do my regular prep w/them. As long as we're running clear the doc has no way of knowing what prep we used. Let HIM/HER do this overkill prep!!! No way this ole broad would do it.

Tess, thanks hun, yeh I have just about reached my breaking point. Tomorrow will just about put me over. I think crohnieToo might
be right, I think the fleets should be enough.
I'll be glad to get next week over. Then perhaps they can start treating me again, what for, I'm not sure, but I want to start thinking
about Christmas, and that's a no go for me right now as I have no energy. I feel like I have the flu, although I know I don't. DD really
grab a hold sometimes.
Mail me, when you can, I really enjoy getting them.

Hugs
Vicky

Dunny2 (you are in Collinsville right? Otherwise this post will be just silly!) , first off I never do the recommended amount of prep and no doc has ever noticed. Secondly, I know how difficult this disease is especially around the holidays and if you need to me to do anything--since I'm right here in O'Fallon-- don't hesitate to ask. I'm a stay at home and as odd as it sounds I love running errands. Just drop a line if you need anything--I mean it!! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and the next day, hoping all goes well.

Jen, thankyou so much for your very kind offer. It's not every day that someone say's something like that, you've kinda blown
me away. I will definitely keep it in mind. Bless you...

Hey Dunny--Just checking in to see how things went. Did you go through with that awful prep or go with something a little more simple? Hope the scope came out clean! (no pun intended!)

How did it go, Dunny? I popped my 2 Dulcolax last night. Start the Fleets this afternoon. Scope tomorrow. Then the upper scope isn't until 03 Jan which I most likely will cancel. H*ll by that time I'll be cured. This is so stupid, they "can't" do both scopes the same day at this facility? What could possibly be the reason they can't?? Much as I like this gastro personally I strongly suspect I'm going to end our doctor/patient relationship and just go w/my family doctor and Mayo Clinic when I need them.

Well Crohnie, it went lousy. I've had some preps in my 'CROHNS" life, but man that was the worse. It had me crawling by 7pm.
However that's done with, and so now my sympathies can go to you. It does seem stupid not to do both scopes together. Surely
if nothing else it must save money. darn I forgot thats not what they do is it? Good luck...

Yogi..yep I was nice and clean, and I did cheat a bit, I couldn't get all that fluid down. It would've been a case of 1 glass down, and
about 3 up. God it was awful...

Understood about that prep being lousy. Just recently finished the first Fleets. No results yet except nausea and headache and chills. And I thought I had some phenergan tablets here and can't find them!!! This is gonna be rougher than usual w/o the phenegran to fall back on.

Yeah, the cost vs savings is especially interesting since a couple of times now her PA has been so darn overly concerned about costs of this and that. I've just had it w/this whole darn "arrangement", "relationship", whatever you want to call it. If a doctor isn't available when I need him/her why bother w/them at all? Especially when I'm "well". Gonna call my family doctor and see if he can call in a script for a couple of phenergan.

that prep is rediculous...I would ask the doctor to go on the prep with you to see what it's like...what a fag, if my "specialist" told me that, I'd tell him/her where to shove it! (insert puns here)

One told me to take a gallon jug and drink a glass every 15 minutes until it was gone...I'm a tall lanky dude, after it was about 1/4 done, my colon was so clean, it may have well as been a water slide, cause that's what it was doing
Tests I've had:
5-6 colonoscopies (lost count), Barium follow through, Barium enema, 2-3 CT scans, plenty of xrays (lost count)

Prescriptions:
Prednisone (started at 40mg stepping down) been on this one 3-4 times
Tried Imuran, no good
Would try remicade if I had coverage ($2500 per 2 hour IV :P)

Herbal remedies tried:
4Life Transfer Factor Plus (2 bottles at 3x recommended dosage)
Primal Defense (3x dosage recommended...yuck)
Many different probiotics including:
VSL #3 (450 billion live bacteria!)
    PRIMADOPHILUS REUTERI PEARLS
    Primadophilus Optima
Omega 3 Oils (caps and liquid)
GNC liquid multi (had to get this one from the US)
Paraway Parasite Cleanse (2 in a row)
New Roots Herbal Parasitis Kit (2 in a row)
Liquid Aloe Vera Juice (2x1oz. per day)

Just ordered Mastic Gum capsules (120x1000mg) and Mastic Gum pure from the tree (10gr. bag)
