I saw the cocky surgeon who always is trying to decide if I am crazy yesterday, and he said he doesn't think I have adhesions and ordered me a bowel transit test. I had an xray today and start the odd little pills tomorrow. he says all my previous xrays show lots of constipation, so I might have colonic inertia. how I have moved from crohns to this I don't know, but again I am up in the air and clueless as to what is wrong.
I always feel that I must keep you all posted. thanks for listening. yp
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. In December had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now just taking Glycolax, metamucil, and began Humira 9/07.

I do not know about anyone else here, but I am going to have to look that one up and see what it is. Thanks for keeping us posted. It just kills me to hear so many of you with docs that do not want to help, they just keep looking for something else it could be. Good luck.

One of the symptoms of Crohn's disease can be abnormally slow intestinal transit time, so "colonic inertia" shouldn't preclude Crohn's.

Sorry about the diagnostic uncertainty. I know it well, and it's the pits.
