So after my liquid diet until 4 on thursday and then prep for it thurs day from 4 -1030.. and some periodic wake up runs last night.. at 2:45 they finally started my colonoscopy.. The first time I had it i didn't remember anything at all.. This time i cried twice.. once when the nurse could not get my IV and was jabbing it at my wrist... and then again when the Test was done because with 10mg of versed and something else i had yet to actually fall asleep so i watched the whole thing.. They found alot of polyps that they had to remove.. (she is confident that they are just scar tissue we hope) and then when they were done and pulling out thats when i felt the most pain.. It was weird because from when they were done till about 30 min later i dont remember much of anything..  I just got up and got dressed and Wobble out (i was quite dizzy).. but she truly wants me to start the humira now.. only problem is the nurse thats supposed to show me..WONT CALL ME AND SET UP A TIME!!!  Its making me frustrated..I want to get this started because Its making me so nervous.. but hopefully she'll call...

Thats my story for the day.. So in 7 days we will have the results for the polyps... I hope its good news. and then i get to schedule an upper gi barium swallow..

Hi Glad you have your scope done and hoping the best for your results. I had trouble getting the IV's done when I was sick I used to drink extra before going for my Rem. treatments. I see she wants to put you on the Hum. I have not taken Hum. so don't know how long it takes for them to schedule them .Just try to hang in there I am sure you will hear from her soon. Best Wishes . lol gail

ohh I forgot to tell ya'll about this great man that was in the waiting room with me.. He was one of the talker's (you know the ones that dont know when to shut up).. Well when he saw me sign in he walked up to the lady at the desk talking about how he doesn't see why such young people would be having this (I'm 23 but people say I look 18).  The secretary looked at him and said well age is not the only reason to have one of these, some people have other issues.. He said, which made me want to turn and smack the crap out of him, What that its all in there head!!!!!!!!!..OMGosh I couldn't beleive he said this.. My husband was with me and just looked at me and smirked cause he knew what I was thinking.. Ok so I have another question.. I remembered everything that happened yesterday right after it happened.. I have people telling me what I was saying to them.. But it is driving me absolutely insane !! all i remember now is going to the bathroom and falling asleep on my couch.. I dont remember the test any more, I dont remember walking to the car, driving home, Getting dressed, getting any of my stuff back.. nothing.. is this normal for me to all of a sudden forget it all after I was talking to people about the whole thing yesterday after it happend.. I can't even sleep I'm trying so hard to remember what all went on.. The funny thing is I called my sister 2x in 30 minutes and dont remember it.. or what I said.. She's probably thought I was crazy.. hehe..

I hate the drugs they give for colonscopies and I have the same reaction; I remember nothing for the whole day. of course, they also make me violently nausious with a horrible headache, which is why I want to do the next one awake.
have you heard from the nurse yet? I hope soon. yp
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. In December had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now just taking Glycolax, metamucil, and began Humira 9/07.

nope still no word from the Nurse.. It's quiet frustrating cause I could have had the first injection last night and not have had it be too bad.. But now I have to wait till next Friday (that is if she ever calls me)
