I had the MRCP done today. I arrived at the hospital at 11.30 and got home at 4. They took over an hour to place an IV. I guess
I'm still dry from prepping on Sunday, and then being NPO from midnight last night. The test itself took 2 hours, a long time to be
in a tube {smile}, but I guess it's all over for now. I wont have the results for a couple of days, so I'm gonna keep my fingers
crossed. I really dont need a double whammy. Love to all...

There are moments in your life that makes you and sets the course of who you're going to be. Sometimes there little, subtle moments. Sometimes, they're big moments you never saw coming. No one ask for their life to change, but it does. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.

DR, how comes it only takes 30 mins? They kept bringing me out. Once to do a test shot of Secretin, then again for the full dose, then again
for the contrast. I know my IV was only just in, so they had do all the shots by hand, but even taking that into consideration the test itself still
took that long....

Tess, my sister is doing xmas this year WAHOO!!!

Hmm, my test took about 40 minutes, a little longer than they said but much better than 2 hours. I'm not claustrophobic at all, but I think I'd start getting wiggy after an hour and a half or so, lol.

At least the tests are over, hopefully you'll get some answers and be able to figure out a treatment plan.

Keep us posted on your results.

you must have gone somewhere they were doing a study on secretin.  We do not inject anything but the contrast and if possibly needed some thing call feriodex.. but still 2 hours seems really long.. but for our mrcp study its about 30 sets of 25 second breath holds and one full scan for like 1-2 min.. really quick.. but we dont give our patients secretin..
