Through my first 4 injections in 10 minutes!!.. I am so glad that is done and I know now what to expect.  So my husband did the first 2 and my mom the next 2.. One leg is red and itchy in the shape of the ice box I used (we think maybe my leg was too cold when we started) and the other is just two eraser sized bruizes.  Other than the really sharp pain it gives when going in, I survived.  No major soreness, just a liitle in my hips.. But no complaints here it could be worse.  I was so nervous going into it and the first one made me tear up a little cause it was more then I expected but once I got through that the rest hurt but weren't a shock.  In two weeks only 2 shots then after that only 1.. I can't wait till its only one.

For me the upper thigh hurt less then the mid thigh.. so i think were gonna stick with the upper thigh from here on out.  I still don't think I can do it my own yet.  I think I might pull it out when it starts to sting.  I don't like pain.

I'm glad you made it through your 1st series of shots. I haven't had to take Humira (yet) but I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to giving myself shots. I won't give myself a B-12 shot, I make my husband do it.

good for you!! I am worried about moving to humira in case I am afraid to stick myself. I worry I would chicken out.

Yea as ya'll read hehe, I'm terrified.. I had my husband train and mom for back up if he has to go out of town. It really wasn't that bad.. Its literally over in 30 seconds.. you just have to have it in you to not pull away the pen until its done (which I'm afraid I will because when it started hurting I wanted to punch them for sticking it in me.) I just started so I'm not sure what results will be but they say with in 30 days you will know if its working or not.. I'm more or less excited to get of the entocort, and possible the asacol.. my doc.. said we have to discuss that.. and they called me with the results to my biopsy of my polyps in my colon, all is clear for cancer just showed major inflammation. so yea!
