That really really sucks that you got so sick. It also sounds like it might have been dangerous. If you still feel icky you should tell your doctor. Are you on Flagyl or anything you really shouldn't drink on? Good luck with your search for Mr. Right.

Sorry about getting dumped :-( Also sorry you got sick but hopefully it was worth it for the short term. If you continue feeling bad, tell your doc, but if things to back to baseline you're probably ok not to say anything. Maybe your doc will be understanding, though; even Crohnies need a drink once in awhile!

Sorry to hear that you got dumped, there's millions of guys out there, never give up ;)
Getting a little drunk is fun, the day later isn't tho, lol.. BUT the main thing is, if you had fun that night who cares, you gotta live a little! :)
As you mentioned your not on meds yet and newly DX, always ask the doctor if its ok to drink with the pills (even one drink can make huge problems! I rarely drink but asked what if I drink on NYE or Xmas is that ok?), some you can't drink at all like 6MP.
I hope Humira works out for you btw ;) Best wishes on that and the hunt for Mr.Right

I've found that I can barely drink two beers before I get the "sick" feeling in my gut. After my second hospitalization I have sworn off booze and smoking.

I do not drink @ all. Really isn't worth it between the Crohn's (and having a severe case of it) and of course all of the medications I am on and off of. The body can't handle it. And if you have Crohn's, drinking is not good whether on meds or not. But really in general all bodies are different!
Not worth it to me. Never been a big drinker anyways. GOOD LUCK!
I have had Crohn's since I was 21 years old and I am now 27....

On HUMIRA....

No one has picked up on your initial description of your heave party. Coffee grounds and blood in your puke is not a laughing matter. That could be a sign of severe esophagitis or stomach ulcers. Do you have crohn's in your stomach of esophagus? This is a symptom I would definitely report to my family physician/gastroenterologist.

By the way, maybe you just think you are cooler. As an experienced (sober) observer of drinkers in social situations, I can assure you that what ever you are sober, you are not better drunk.

I assure you that NO ONE is better when they drink or are drunk!!!

From one who gets "high" just being around friends and having a good time I can tell you that each drink creates subtle changes whether you are a "happy drunk" or a "nasty drunk".

And frankly, when you get to the point that you think you are REALLY good - you are obnoxious and offensive. You slur your words, are clumsy and ... you get the drift.

We know from reading your posts here that you are a good person w/a pretty good outlook on life and a pretty good sense of humor. You most definitely do not need booze to make you better or a better person.

Just be you. The "right" one will come along in due time.

Meantime, coffee grounds "ain't" good, my dear. No maybes about it. Tell your doctor(s).

(((hugs)))

C2 - again I agree (see the beer post) but the one thing I do have evidence of (video) is that I can dance drunk and cant dance sober. I think Im too self conscious sober so I have no rythem but when Im drunk I suddenly do. But... totally not worth it.
